Tomb of Mystery
You awaken in a dark, damp room of stone. The only source of light is a small candle mounted on the wall in a corner. There is a door, but it's handle-less and made of plate metal. Your right leg is chained to the center of the floor, and only reaches to the floor, and only reaches a little more than three quarters of the way to the wall. The chain is fairly rusty, and you could probably break it with a good kick.

You kick the chain and it snaps like a twig. The shackle, however, is still attached to your leg and is chafing pretty badly.

@Jess
After about an hour of chewing and relentless pain, you successfully gnaw your own leg off. You are free from both shackle and chain, but you're progressively getting woozier by the minute due to blood loss.

You give the chain a kick one might define as kinda okayish. It jingles a bit, but other than that, nothing happens.

You break off the chain. You attempt to wrap it around your fist, but it's still attached to your ankle.

You bash your leg against the wall. The shackle is stronger than it looks. It doesn't break, but you notice it makes some sparks.

The room you're in would be pitch black if it weren't for the small candle in the corner. The walls and floor are made of stone, leading you to assume the ceiling is too, although you can't see it. There's a tan, raggedy carpet made of wool on the floor with a hole cut into it for the hook you were chained to. There's no windows, so you can't tell if you're underground or not. The door is made of grey plate metal, and does not have a handle.
@OQ
Despite it still being attached to your leg, you wrap as much of the chain as you can around your fist. You wind back and punch. The door makes a loud noise comparable to a gong, but the only damage done was to your own hand. The punch also managed to snap the other end of the chain off of your shackle.
[Protip: You might do more damage with an attack like that if your hand was padded somehow.]

You tear some of the carpet. It's easy, due to how frayed and ragged it is. You bang the shackle against the wall until you make some sparks, which you use to light the clump of wool on fire. You start heating up the shackle, and all goes well until you start running out of wool. By the time the wool is gone, the shackle isn't melted, but it's very hot.
[Protip: Just because it isn't melted doesn't mean it isn't soft.]

You bash your leg into the wall as hard as you can. It burns (literally) like hell, but the shackle comes off. It probably wasn't worth it, but at least it's off now.

You would, but there's a couple of problems. First of all, your pants are quite poor excuses for pants, as they're quite short and ragged. Second, even if you were willing to walk around in rag panties, they're not really that thick. You might as well wrap your hand in a tissue.

You're probably going to want to pursue ways to open that door. You noticed as you were ripping the carpet apart that there was a loose stone.
@CC
You're going to need to either find something thicker or look for other options in opening that door.
