You jump down. Thing is, the hole goes a lot further than you thought it would. You fall straight through your basement and into a floor you've never seen before. It's dark, and damp, and you land on a giant black sphere.

It's completely smooth and as black as midnight. You try to touch it but you just...can't. Your hand seems to slide off of it somehow. It's completely frictionless.

You dash into the basement and take a deep look at the hole in the floor. Apparently whatever hit it revealed an underground chamber you never knew about. You slowly lower yourself into the hole. You land in a dark damp room, and there's a black sphere imbedded into the floor.

You pick up a piece of rubble and throw it at the strange object. It skims right off of the thing like it was nothing more than a cross breeze.

You make an attempt to punch it, but you...miss? It was almost as if you changed the direction of your punch right before you hit it but...involuntarily somehow. You try to touch the thing but you...can't. It's almost as if the thing doesn't have any friction!

You look around. There doesn't look to be much, but it's really dark. The ground is solid stone, and you can't see the walls. The ceiling is held up by steel beams. There's rocks and rubble around where the pod hit, and the hole back up is reachable if maybe you stack some rubble or something.
